UT ASME Design Team aims to engage students who want to interact with engineering beyond regular undergraduate coursework. Our projects showcase our members’ capabilities through hands on building experiences and design proposals.
For the last two years, our team attended national Rube Goldberg competitions, representing UT ASME on the national level. Additionally, a separate machine we built for a television advertisement for Reliant Energy was done in under 48 hours. With our expansion to overall design, we also designed a prototype system for corporate safety, submitted proposals for an automatic cleaning device and engineering finance, and built a pair of motorized roller skates.
